The TLP Weightlifting Club is our USAW affiliated weightlifting venue within Crossfit Reston. Our aim is to help weightlifters of all abilities achieve their goals, be they in training, competition or in support of their Crossfit performance. Current TLP Weightlifting offerings include:
4-week instructional clinics:
On a regular basis, we offer 4-week clinics that teach the technique of either the Snatch or the Clean & Jerk. Each clinic consists of four 1 hour and 15 minute sessions, spread over a period of four weeks, during which the participant is taught the various technique elements of the lifts through both lecture and drills.
Open Weightlifting Club:
The TLP Open Weightlifting Club is a twice weekly group session for weightlifters of all levels or CrossFitters interested in getting better at the Olympic lifts. Lifters follow olympic lifting programming and spend their time working on drills on improving technique under coach supervision. To join the Open Weightlifting Club, you must have completed both Snatch and C&J clinics (requirement can be waived on case by case basis).
Private and Distance Training:
Private 1-on-1 instruction is available as well as programming for the athlete who is training off gym premises.
